"The breath of a winter day is icy to the touch and threatens your goosebumps to rise. I have wondered on multiple occasions as to why I am so very fond of winter. Whether it's the feeling of everything dying only to be born again, or the way the wind whispers through the trees, nudging stubborn red leaves to fall. Puddles freeze over, and the earth is much darker than usually. It seems as though there is a permanent overcast. With some good luck, we might see the fresh face of an early morning snow. Oh, how I adore snow. The way each flake is individually unique. The way they come together to form the white fluff that we all have experienced with joy and wonder. Winter is absolutely breathtaking. Going for a late night run, the chilly air through your hair, as you breathe icy hot down into your lungs. Even the sickness in winter is fascinating. We get colds, and flues, and we cough and wheeze, pulling out as many tissues as our bag will hold, trying our best not to sneeze in uncomfortable situations, and yet we still manage to pick ourselves up from the safety and comfort of our couch, and bundle ourselves up in our winter coats, and trudge out into the wild winter wonderland to adore its beauty. Winter is an especially good time of year."
Yes, I wrote that. From the poet's side of my soul.
I think it's pretty good in describing winter.
Precautions of Winter:
- It's cold, so watch the weather, be prepared, and bundle up!
- Make sure you keep your ears covered, msot ear infections occur from winter winds.
- Gloves are a good way to keep your hands warm, and they come in all different colors!
- Scarves are a personal favorite of mine and they can cover your head, neck, and chest.
- Fluffy Boots - these are my personal favorite and one of the best things about winter. Some of the cutest boots are in season and come in all different colors. So go ahead, find a pair that you like. They're definitely good at keeping you warm!
Hope this helps you on your winter endeavors.
